What is the Virginia Boardwalk Holiday Lights at the Beach?
It is not outlandish for local citizens of Virginia Beach to go to this year after year. It is both fun and a traditional indicator that the holiday season is here. Some of the highlights of this activity are
- Multiple light displays on both sides of the boardwalk
- Synchronized music for your car
- Multiple holiday characters
How popular is the Holiday Light Show?
Estimates are that 25,000 people visit the boardwalk every year. A reasonable percentage of that is local families who have seen it multiple years. One reason for this is that it is family friendly. Another reason is that some of the light displays do change each year and…its a lot of fun.
Who is the sponsor?
McDonalds has been the traditional sponsor of the event.
Liberty Tax is sponsoring military Mondays which gives a large discount to military families
What is the pricing?
Since is by vehicle it is reasonable when spread out among multiple passengers

Can I get a discount on the Holiday light display?
There are two basic ways to save on this event. One is a military discount on Mondays. The charge is only $7 per automobile for military personnel and their families. The second is a combination ticket for $20 which gives you access to the Beach Boardwalk Lights and access to Santa’s seaside village

Sunday thru Thursday
5:30 to 10 from November 20th to the day after New years 2016
Friday and Saturday
5:30 to 11 from November 20th to the day after New years 2016
